Living in a wonderful home with humans who adore them is the dream of every dog. Their happiness depends on receiving and giving love.
Unfortunately, there are too many dogs who don’t get the chance to feel loved and who live in difficult conditions.
Boomer was one of those dogs who had a rough past. He was found in an abandoned, dirty trailer and brought to The Humane Society of Richland County in Ohio.
As soon as the staff met him, they realized that he was extremely frightened and that he needed some time to relax in order to start trusting people again.
Feeling Scared Of People
Since Boomer felt unsure and fearful of people, especially men, the staff believed that he had been abused in the past.
They took care of him and took him on walks. They treated him affectionately and their love began healing his broken heart.
Gradually, Boomer started trusting them and showing them affection.
As time passed, the pup formed a strong bond with his shelter friends and became their favorite dog. Boomer started hoping that he would get the opportunity to start over with his forever family.
Sadly, nobody gave him the chance that he needed, and he ended up spending more than 419 days at the shelter.
The staff at the Ohio shelter can’t stand watching Boomer spend his time in a shelter kennel instead of enjoying his life in a home.
Since he has waited for someone to notice him for too long, the dog has begun losing hope for a better future. With every passing day, he becomes sadder and more resigned.
“He’s definitely showing signs that he’s becoming depressed and resigned, and we can’t blame him,” the Humane Society of Richland County wrote on Facebook.
The shelter staff shared his story on social media and keeps hoping that his human will find him soon.
Boomer Longs To Meet His Person
Due to his rough past, Boomer is timid at first, and he takes time to warm up to people.
However, once he starts trusting people, the pup turns into an affectionate companion who gives the best kisses.
The shelter staff know Boomer the best, and they consider him to be a treasure.
“The person who adopts this perfect boy is going to hit the jackpot,” the shelter shared in another Facebook post.
Everyone is in disbelief that such a handsome and adorable dog is still at the shelter waiting to be noticed.
We all hope that Boomer’s long wait will finally end and that his luck will change for the better.
This precious soul deserves to meet a loving and patient family who will give him the chance to live a normal life.
Boomer has gone through so much already and he deserves to experience happiness and unconditional love.
