Rescuer Rushes To Save A Heavily Pregnant Dog And Spends Hours Tracking Her In The Georgia Woods

When Audray Luck, the founder of Luck’s Rescue, received calls that there was a heavily pregnant dog dumped in a Georgia neighborhood, she drove to the location and started looking for her.

She found the dog, later named Ginger, quickly, but she retreated to the woods.

After Audray followed her into the woods, she realized that the doggo had disappeared in the thick brush and that this was not going to be an easy task.

And yet, the rescuer was willing to do whatever it took to bring her to safety as soon as possible.

Ginger Is Too Scared To Trust Her Rescuer

After a while, Audray spotted Ginger and started offering her food, determined to capture her that day.

The dog was distrustful of the rescuer, and she looked at her from afar. Audray could see that she wanted to trust her, but her fear prevailed.

Whenever Audray tried to approach her, she looked at her with tearful eyes and ran away as fast as she could.

As time passed and Ginger continued avoiding getting captured, the rescuer was getting more worried.

“If I didn’t catch her, she was gonna have her puppies in the woods, and they wouldn’t survive through the cold,” Audray told The Dodo.

Audray didn’t give up. She continued tracking Ginger and giving her treats. She also talked to her, trying to make her feel relaxed.

She planned to use food and lure her out of the woods.

The rescuer was glad when she saw that the doggo started approaching her little by little

Audray’s strategy proved to be successful, and two hours later, Ginger got out of the Georgia woods. The rescuer moved closer to her and began handfeeding her.

The dog began trusting Audray, and she wagged her tail. She let the rescuer stroke her for the first time.

As Audray cuddled Ginger, she was worried that she might flee.

“The moment she let me pet her, I held my breath, afraid that she was gonna run away again,” Audray added.

While Ginger looked at Audray with the saddest look on her face, she decided to put her faith in her. The doggo sensed that she was a good person and that she was going to help her.

Hoping To Start A New Life

The rescuer was overjoyed because Ginger put her trust in her. She placed the leash over her neck and sighed in relief.

With the help of volunteers, Audray took Ginger to a foster home where she started decompressing.

Before long, the dog felt safe and gave birth to ten puppies the same night.

Ginger smiled while she nursed her babies. She cared for them with a lot of love, feeling relieved that they were safe and sound.

Thanks to the love and care of their mom and their foster family, the puppies flourished into playful and happy pups.

Both Ginger and her puppies are up for adoption. They are excited and can’t wait to meet their forever humans and start a new life by their side.
