We all know that dogs are very friendly animals who can make friends with any other animal in the room.
Their desire for social interactions is one of the reasons why they have been such great companions to us and other animals as well.
However, they don’t just befriend everyone they meet. Once they spend enough time with a friend, they tend to mimic their behaviors.
Humans do this as well, but it’s a bit surprising seeing it in animals and the prime example of this is Lola. She is a sweet dog who changed a lot when she met her new friend.
Lola’s New Friend

Melyssa Sobczyk, who lives in Palm Desert, California, is a dog mom and she loves her pup, Lola, more than anything in the world.
Lola is a very sweet dog, and even though she is now in her senior years, she is still very playful and very eager to learn new things.
Melyssa notes just how she still makes her laugh all the time. However, things would soon change in their lives, and it happened fast.

At one point, Melyssa went to a shelter in California and decided to adopt a cat named Goose on a “whim” and that’s when Lola started changing.
The two of them got along instantly and they are good friends. However, Melyssa noticed that Lola started mimicking her friend’s behaviors in many ways.
She would spend a lot of her time loafing like a cat, and whenever she got up, she would stretch in the exact same way Goose did. This surprised Melyssa, but she was happy to see that they got along so well.
Reaction On The Internet

After recording Lola loafing, Melyssa thought this hilarious moment deserved recognition so she posted about it on TikTok, and it received a lot of attention.
One person commented: “My pom learned from my cat that listening is optional.”
Well, I guess not all changes are positive, but it’s hilarious that animals are this good at mimicking each other’s behaviors.
Another person said: “I had a cat when I got a puppy and while I was training the puppy, the cat picked up on some commands. He can meow on command, sit, give paw and stand!”

It’s interesting to see that the cat was also very eager to learn about commands, even though they usually try their best to ignore them.
Lastly, somebody commented: “I got kittens after having a dog for a few years and the dog has taught one of the kittens to bark.”
Well, this is certainly unexpected. I expected them to adopt certain behaviors, but barking? That’s new.
Nevertheless, it’s always intriguing to see the reactions from other people who found this situation relatable. It’s simple videos like this one that always bring people together and we are all happy to see that.
