A Resident Was Surprised To Discover A Furry Surprise Hiding In The California Construction Zone

A lonely life without love was all that a little puppy knew.

She lived under a house that was under construction. Since the house had no occupants, the pup didn’t have the chance to interact with humans.

The puppy missed her mom’s love and warmth. Growing up without her was extremely difficult for her.

As time passed, she became scared and distrustful.

Fortunately, a kind neighbor who spotted her roaming around the house started bringing her food and water, and they even left blankets for her so that she could stay warm.

The puppy was grateful, but she wasn’t happy. Deep down, she yearned for companionship and love.

While a Los Angeles County resident was passing by a house that was under construction, they were surprised to spot a fluffy creature hiding under the foundation.

Once they took a second look, they realized that it was a dog, and they called Suzette Hall, a long-time rescuer and founder of Logan’s Legacy.

Upon receiving the call for help, Hall called Mary Nakiso, a dedicated volunteer, and they dashed to the construction zone.

When the rescuers parked the van and approached the house, they saw the scared face of the dog. Their hearts became overwhelmed with sorrow once they looked closer and realized that it was a puppy.

Hall and Nakiso searched the area for the puppy’s mother and siblings, but they didn’t find them.

After the rescuers came closer, they spotted food and water that the neighbor had left for the puppy.

“She would come out for food and water that a neighbor had left there. Under the house was a blanket for her to sleep on,” Hall wrote in a Facebook post.

The rescuers began surrounding the pup, later named Savannah, and she got scared, darted out from beneath the house, and ran away.

Hall and Nakiso decided to prepare humane traps for the pup and lure her with delicious treats that they scattered around the property.

However, they waited for hours, but Savannah was nowhere to be seen.

A Second Chance To Be Happy

After Hall noticed that some hot dogs that she had left were gone, she went to the backyard, and that’s when she discovered Savannah’s hiding spot.

The pup curled under a pile of metal, so the rescuers asked a neighbor to help them remove it.

Once they finally reached the pup, Hall and Nakiso realized that she was more frightened than before.

“[She] was shaking and scared,” Hall added.

Hall took her in her arms and talked to her affectionately. Savannah froze in her embrace. She needed some time to relax and realize she was safe.

The rescuer put her in a crate and drove her to Camino Pet Hospital. At the time, Savannah didn’t know that her life would change for the better.

Once they arrived at the clinic, the vet team checked her and found her to be in good health. They showered her with affection, and Savannah started realizing that she could trust humans again.

Second Leash On Life, a rescue in San Diego, California, brought her into their care and placed her in a loving foster home.

Savannah finally got the chance to enjoy the warmth and comfort of a home.

The sweet pup is now looking for a permanent home and a family who will love her immeasurably.

Savannah needs to forget her lonely past and turn a new leaf. She deserves it, and I hope she will soon receive the best news.
