We all make mistakes… that’s for sure. Even pet owners, especially ones who need to leave their four-legged buddies alone for a few hours, sometimes drop the ball, leading to minor household mishaps that often become funny stories with time.
This one, however, had me rolling on the floor!
Maddie, an Indiana pet owner, recently shared a video of her Boxer, Willow. She remembered leaving Willow in her crate, but what she didn’t realize was that she had also left her with another furry companion.
When she returned home, she was stunned to find both of them inside together.
Locked Inside For Three Hours
When Maddie adopted Willow, little did she know this quirky Boxer girl would become the center of attention within days. She instantly became attached to her older Boxer sibling, Reign. The two fit like two missing pieces, and Maddie couldn’t have been happier.
But, what the Indiana owner didn’t see coming was how soon Willow would become friends with her cat, Ash!
One day, on her way out, she placed Willow in her crate. What she didn’t realize was that Ash was inside it, too. Since he’s black, this feline furball camouflaged perfectly inside the crate, resulting in him and Willow spending three long hours together, completely locked inside.
Shocked and amused at the same time, Maddie couldn’t help but take a video of the two and share it with her followers.
Then, another surprise unfolded, completely unexpectedly. The TikTok post went viral, exploding online and garnering millions of views from all around the world.
Most people found Willow’s facial expression hilarious, claiming it was Ash who “enforced the law” inside the crate.
“Somehow the dog seems more traumatized than the cat,” one commenter joked.
“You can tell by the way they’re sitting that the cat set some BOUNDARIES while you were gone,” another added.
One person shared their experience, claiming it was a similar experience that helped her dog become “extremely well-behaved” afterward.
“I did this on accident with my 1yr old dog and she was suddenly extremely behaved outside her kennel. She didn’t need to be crated while I was gone after that fateful day with the bossy cat.”
One thing is for sure: neither Willow nor Ash minded being locked inside together. And, they definitely didn’t hold a grudge against each other after the mishap.
Best Friends
Crate incident aside, it’s safe to say that Willow and Ash are truly best friends.
Despite Willow’s energetic personality or the fact that Ash is a cat, the two really hit it off the minute they saw each other, and they have been going strong ever since.
They play and take naps together, and just genuinely enjoy each other’s company.
Their friendship is a true testament to the bond between dogs and cats, demonstrating that these two species can indeed coexist peacefully.
I’m absolutely certain that Willow and Ash are about to embark on many more exciting adventures together. And, hopefully, their little ‘mishap’ is just a stepping stone to a thriving TikTok career. I know I can’t wait for their next video!
